Program Costs
All students studying abroad through an exchange will pay Clemson University in-state tuition. Payment for tuition and fees as well as the study abroad fee will appear on the student’s iROAR bill. Students will also be required to purchase
study abroad insurance through Clemson University.
Most exchanges are tuition-only exchanges, so the cost of housing is paid to the host university or to the host family/apartment owner, etc. The costs of plane tickets are usually not included in the costs of an exchange program. Clemson Abroad provides an
estimated budget sheet for each exchange program.
Financial Aid and Scholarships
Students who will receive financial aid during their program abroad must meet with the Financial Aid Office prior to departure. Appointments can be made
